This is our first draft of our thriller opening which we have evaluated together and found various positive and negative aspects of the opening which we will ammend in our re-shoot and re-edit.
The first aspect we will change are the shaky outdoor shots which will be ammended using the tripod to ensure the shots are stable and of a higher quality. We will also be reshooting the scenes where dialogue is not of a sufficent quality and could be improved by possibly using a microphone to record the audio or select a better location for this.
We think the titles and varied shots are effective in the opening scene and the audio is interesting alongside the shots. The use of splitscreen editing and various crossfades are somewhat well incorpirated but could be adressed futher.
To improve during our re-shoot and re-edit we will take onboard audience feedback (which we will be organising soon) and our own views to ensure the opening is clear and of a higher standard.
